A superb quality early 19th Century oak partners writing desk, having an oval shaped top with a green leather writing surface decorated with blind and gold tooling, two mahogany lined drawers either end with the original turned ebonised wooden knob handles, carved ebonised metal beading running along the bottom edge of the frieze, supported on two end supports with decorative carved metal patraes on each end with further carved ebonised beading along the bottom of the supports, united by a curved stretcher, the desk terminating on ebonised carved scroll feet. Circa 1830.
