				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A highly decorative early 20th Century antique gilt and marble top console table in the George II style, having the original rectangular dark green marble top above a frieze with decorative raised scroll moulding, supported by a naturalistically carved eagle with outstretched wings perched on a rockwork base and supported on a faux marble platform base with a moulded edge.   In Roman mythology, the eagle was a companion to Jupiter, symbolizing power, protection, and authority.  Circa 1920.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A superb quality 18th Century Italian giltwood console table, having the original veined grey marble top with a thumb moulded edge above a highly decorative carved and pierced giltwood frieze which runs along the sides as well as the front, incorporating intricate mouldings and floral shapes, at the centre of the frieze there is a highly decorated carved giltwood panel displaying various instruments, ribbons and further floral decoration, each corner of the table having panels with intricate carved giltwood patraes and supported on four highly decorative tapering turned and fluted legs.  Circa 1780.  Please note that at some point the marble has been damaged but has since been restored, there are a few scratches on the marble top (see photo&#8217;s)</p>
